123 unit apartment building

Tony Wong Place, named in honour of the late Regional Councillor Tony Wong, a passionate advocate for affordable housing, stands as a testament to MICAH’s vision and commitment to community. This landmark development provides 120 safe, modern, and affordable homes for individuals, families, and seniors living on lower incomes.

Designed to meet a wide range of needs, the building offers 56 one-bedroom, 26 two-bedroom, 30 three-bedroom, and 8 four-bedroom apartments, including four fully accessible units for residents with physical disabilities. Every suite is smoke-free and thoughtfully designed to balance comfort, functionality, and affordability.

MICAH’s leadership ensured that Tony Wong Place not only delivers housing, but also integrates state-of-the-art sustainability features, such as geothermal heating and cooling, insulated concrete form construction, R50 roof insulation, Low-E Argon windows, LED and motion-sensor lighting, and water-saving fixtures. These innovations reduce environmental impact while helping residents manage household costs.

Beyond individual units, residents benefit from a secure children’s playground, a welcoming community room and kitchen, laundry facilities on every floor, storage lockers, and both above- and below-ground parking. These shared spaces foster connection, safety, and a true sense of belonging.

Through Tony Wong Place, MICAH demonstrates how affordable housing can be both dignified and forward-thinking — blending comfort, sustainability, and community spirit into a place hundreds proudly call home.
